As they were reciting the pledge, I thought about how the majority of the American schools recite the pledge everyday and have daily announcements. This is very different from what I am use to seeing in the American school system. It seemed like their pledge was very long, but it was nice to see that they had students playing music to it so it make it seem like it was a song. Once they finished, Ms. Julie announced that there would be a book fair in the library on Wednesday. She also announced that the students who are on scholarship would receive a coupon that they could us to purchase a book. Today, just like every other day, I got to help the Spanish teacher during Spanish time. She always haves me work with a group, so today the students were working on their vocabulary for the week. I noticed that the words for the week were really hard for me because I had no clue what any of them meant. I felt as though I was no help during this time because I had no idea how to even pronounce some of the words. The teacher had every group grab a dictionary and their job was to find the words and tell her the definition and write it down on their paper. The students would be quizzed on vocabulary on Friday.
