My Island Research Paper

I’ve been visiting this adventurous island as a kid from just my earliest memories. In my time being here the place as well as myself has evolved, but the fun has always been there for me. There’s no doubt about it that I’ve spent some of the best summers of my life in wildwood. As a child I used to spend the majority of the summer on the island or at least visit for a week or two. My aunt has always owned a beach house in Cape May which wasn’t far from Wildwood at all. I spent a countless number of days by the pool at her house and heading to the loud and exciting boardwalk at night. The Wildwood boardwalk was like nothing I had ever seen before they had a ridiculous amount of greasy and salty food places, trendy apparel shops, creative games, …show more content…
As a kid it was obvious I loved the basketball games to try and win a jersey or go on rollercoasters along with the head banging bumper cars which were one of my favorites. As years went by and I started to get into my teenage years the island of Wildwood started to become a little crazy at least that’s how my mother would put it. My family didn’t enjoy visiting the island how they used to or how I still did. Instead, I would go down with my friends for big weekends things like Memorial Day Weekend, Beach Blast, Fourth of July, and Labor Day weekend. As the island changed we evolved with it we still went to the beach and during beach blast weekend played in the soccer tournaments on the beach. Although, at night we stopped going on most of the rides when we did go on the rides it was usually just go karts. Now, we sat out front of Sam’s pizza with our friends just hanging out or talking to girls. We did this deep into our teenage years which lead to the best summer of my life hands down. It was beginning of senior year and our whole grade agreed that everyone would get a shore house for the entire …show more content…
It was one of the nicest houses in wildwood and was right next to a bar usually blocking out the sound. We all had the times of our lives at these parties knowing we had to leave for college in a month or two. Not only was this summer the best summer of my life it also taught me a lot. It definitely taught me who my real friends are and who I can always rely on. I met people and built relationships with people I thought I would never talk to in a million years. Most of these people I actually hated a lot growing up in high school. This summer changed my life my whole group of friends other than my main group pretty much flipped upside down. Most people think I wasted my money because we got evicted so early, but those people don’t understand the memories I created that will never be forgotten. I would literally do anything to relive last summer for the rest of my life. I got to spend the entire summer with my best friends since I was in kindergarten, kids I could be friends with for life, and basically live with my girlfriend. Honestly to me there was nothing better than it and I will never live like that
