I had made many good friends in those four years and Marisa and I have been together forever. Everyone was leaving for their preferred colleges with people they knew who were going there. The colleges I wanted to be accepted to had no one I knew. I considered going into the army to get some time to think, but I wanted to continue my education to become a nurse.
“What if I won’t be able to make friends? What if people don’t like me? I’ll be alone.” Those few thoughts ran through my head.
Luckily, my dream college was in the same area as her dream college. The colleges are only a good ten to twenty minute drive to each other. We had planned on visiting each other and driving down to downtown LA to hang out and grab lunch.
