I was so excited that this day had finally arrived. I was meeting up with my long-time friend Katherina at our favorite coffee shop to catch up. I hadn’t seen her in over a year and we were finally making the time to see each other. I texted her two weeks ago asking her if she wanted to meet up over coffee at Café Myriade on St-Catherine’s around 2 o’clock and she happily accepted the invitation. I got to the coffee shop a couple of minutes early, I took a seat and ordered a latté. Katherina soon walked in with a huge box in her hands.

I know we were young and I didn’t really talk much about her,” she said as here voice suddenly broke. “Sort of, she passed away, right?” I asked, sort of embarrassed I didn’t remember. “Well she killed herself, cuz of boyfriend,” Katherina said in a shaky voice. “He was physically and mentally abusive with her and she killed herself when she couldn’t take it anymore.” “I’m sorry Kat, I didn’t want to make you sad again,” I moaned.
“No I’m telling you this like that you are aware. My sister loved this guy and she put up with the abuse for so long that when she couldn’t take it anymore she ended her life,” she replied. “And every time he did it, he apologized saying it was the last time he would do it and she believed his lies.”
“He would beat her a lot?” I asked in a shaky voice.
“Very often. She had a Youtube Chanel my sister and people started commenting about how her mood changed and why she had a mark here and a mark there.” “She would try covering her bruises with makeup but they would peek through sometimes and people notice.” She said in a soft voice.
“I love him but I am scared of him now,” I added.

“I went to the post office the this morning because they had an old box that was addressed to my sister in their center.” She explained. “Inside are letters from all her Youtube fans trying to help her overcome and leave her abusive relationship.”
