Personal Narrative Essay: College Vs. College

Challenges Waiting sucks, being patient sucks. Wasting time sucks. The worst feeling in the world is knowing what you want to do with your life and not being able to accomplish it. You see the goal – the big dream. You know what you must do to get there. Instead you are stuck in the same place doing the same thing day in and day out – for eight to nine months straight, knowing you won’t reach your full potential there. Day to day it starts feeling like your there just to be there. All the while you know you could be doing so much more and you’re wondering when you will start doing what you like, what your passionate about, and what matters to you. Your just sick and tired of doing things that don’t matter to you, that don’t excite or engage you. Well that’s high school for you or at least that’s what it was like for me. A complete and utter constriction. My dream is to one day become a doctor. Before ever going into high school I knew I wanted to become a doctor – that that’s what I was passionate about. However, after quite a bit of frustration and annoyance with high school – I stumbled upon something life changing. My ticket out – well not completely but it was just as great. College now. College now is a program that allows Juniors and Seniors in high school to finish up high school while in college. One of the best parts is that it’s all payed for by my high school – books, cost of classes, and materials. Of course, there is a set of money that the school will provide for the students – for me that’s about $1,400 which is roughly twelve credits. By the time the student finishes high school they would’ve have already obtained a junior standing status in college -- an associate’s degree. Talk about saving time and money now. This literally couldn’t have been any more perfect for me – it was the perfect solution to my problem. I am now able to do what I want when I
