Personal Narrative Essay: Cody's Swing On The Bridge

Cody was swinging in a baby swing on the playground. He was holding on with both hands in a firm closed grip on the chains. His mother was pushing him and the swing. When the swing was pushed, his feet was bent under the seat. When the adults where talking, Cody would look to the adult that was speaking at that time. Cody mother asked him to go play with the other children. He yelled out “NO”, while shaking his head no. Then he told his mother “push”. Then mom stated pushing him again on the swing. Another little boy ran close to the swing, and Cody put up his right palm of his hand and yelled “stop”, while still holding on with his left hand on the swing and still going back and fourth facing the playground. Cody turned his head around on the left side to face his mother; still holding on with both hands on the chain and looked mom in eye and said “NO, I am swinging. The teachers then stepped in and offered other choice to Cody. He would just shake his head back and forth from side to side indicate no. Finally mom stopped pushing and walked away. Cody started crying. He was kicking his feet very intensely front to back yelling Mommy. Mom walked over and took Cody out of the swing. Cody sat on the grass area by the swings crying and screaming. He was kicking his feet off the ground, both of his arms where wrap to meet each hand around his legs holding them while his knees were up in the air. Mom asked if he was done. He put his head down, wiped his tears and got up off ground and walked over to mom. Mom put her left hand around Cody and gave him a hug and said go play with your friends. He looked at his sister, then his sister walked over and grabbed his left hand and they ran to the slide. Cody started off with his right foot and went heal to toe with alternating feet while swing his left hand that was holding his sisters hand.
