Personal Narrative Essay: Broken Bone

Have you ever had a broken bone? One day I went camping with my Grandpa, Grandma and my sister. We were going to go to Mt.hood. We had to make a lot of stops and one of the stops we made was at a park. We stayed there for a long time because it was really fun.I went to go on the monkey bars and when I was on them I fell and hurt my arm. My arm hurt really bad and stung and my arm was really numb. My sister was sitting down in a chair, when she saw that I was hurt she started laughing really hard. That made my arm hurt more. My grandma gave me an ice pack and we drove to the E.R. It took a long time to drive there. By that time my arm didn’t hurt that bad.The people at the hospital were really nice they told me to put my arm on this really cool x ray. I found out that I broke my arm and it would take 6 to 8 weeks to heal. I got a cast and everyone wanted to sign it. I got a lot of attention I thought that was pretty cool. My sister was sorry about how she started laughing. What was bad was that it was in the summer. I could not swim for a long time. If I did want to swim I would have to put a plastic bag over it. I only had to have my hard cast on for two weeks. When I got that off I could see my arm it was purple and yellow looking. I got a different cast it was a sling cast. After my 6 weeks were done I did not have o wear a cast anymore. My arm felt really weird, because I was so used to having a cast on so when I got it off it felt lighter. Even though my broken arm was 4 years ago I am still mad at my sister for that. I am still …show more content…
I have learned a lot from this experience because now I know you can never be too careful. There are lots of things I can blame for my broken arm. I can blame the sun for my sweaty hands. I can blame the ground for being too hard. My broken arm has been a good experience because I am way more careful now. You can get hurt doing the simplest
