Attack of the Zombies As I drive to school, I look out the window and see nothing but little kids running around and people walking; all I feel is depression. Atlanta has a population of 443, 775 and soon it’ll be 443, 774. Everyone who lives here seems to be so happy, but I’m a caged animal who is ready to fly away. I’m about to graduate and I cannot wait to go to Julliard. This town is full of scum-sucking bullies. I guess the girl with a drunken mother and a father who committed suicide should be tormented everyday. The only people I have by my side are my best friends, Violeta and Spike. All of a sudden I remember Spike and Violeta. I text them to meet me at our hiding place we always hid when we were little kids: the back alleyway of the Candy Store. I start running to the candy store and see people killing and eating other people wherever I look. I get to the Candy Store and as I’m waiting for Spike and Violeta, I start wondering what in the world happened to the people of Atlanta. No one went crazy until that mysterious smoke came. It’s as if the smoke them into zombies. They don’t look like the average rotting, broken leg walking zombies that are depicted in movies. They still look like humans but are in a trance. They have a stare full of rage. I hide in a dumpster when I hear someone coming. All I can hear is screaming. Then I lift the lid of the dumpster and see Mr. Williams, the owner of the candy store, chasing his seven year old sun, Tyler. He catches his and picks him up; he throws him on the ground and eats him with such force. I close the dumpster door quietly and start crying. They are way behind us as we start running and do not see us as we turn a corner. When we turn the corner, we run into someone; I recognize him. It’s the weird guy that ran into me when I was shopping. “It’s you,” he says. “Hi,” I say still crying. “Wait a minute, are you guys one of them?” he asks skeptical of us. “No we are not,” we say. “Good, come with me.” We go with him to his apartment. His name was Eric and he was nineteen. When we get to his apartment all we see are gadgets and science equipment everywhere. We see his roommate and his name is Ben. Ben says, “Hey Eric did you get the supplies.” “Yes. Hand me the chemicals you prepared.” I say, “What’s going on with everyone?” Eric says, “They have all turned into zombies. Last night some scientists were working on an experiment downtown. I know this because one of those scientists is my dad. It went wrong and the chemical gas they created spread throughout the and is now infecting people. The zombies are killing humans.
