The Time I Moved Across the Country
I was 9 when I moved across the country. But that wasn’t beginning of it, the beginning was when My family and I drove across the country to see the school. It was during the 2 weeks of spring break, and my family decided that we should go to New Jersey. But we didn’t just want to fly there, that would be boring. So instead we drove. We stopped at all the hot places.(So basically we were those tourist that had the mother who made the whole family pose for a picture every 2 minutes) When we actually got to New Jersey it was Friday the school day was over.

The school day had ended 1 hour prior but weirdly there was still children there. The principle gave us a tour of the school, and then my parents had small talk with the principle. I was still pretty shy back then so I stayed with my parents while my 2 of my older brothers played basketball with the other kids who were there. We left 2 days after that. We finished the

When we got there the movers weren’t there yet which made us scared but my parents assured us it was fine. Since I was still relatively small my parents let me sleep in their sleeping bag with them. And my brother slept next to us in his sleeping bag. But my other older brother slept in his room. When the movers actually arrived I acted like a six year old and played in the boxes. My brother joined me. The cats were meowing the heck out of themselves. We had put them in the in the bathroom because we didn’t want them running out. The next step was to buy another car. The car we had for the drive cross country was still with us but we needed 2 cars for work and school. So that was our next stop. At first we got a used beamer but that kept on breaking down on us so we got a different car and it was a fit. I will always remember the times I had in California.
