We have been to many restaurants, to try their food, drinks and especially the ambiance of these different restaurants. I do not know why, but I really love to visit a particular restaurant very much. When I had to do this assignment I asked my friends for the advice and they told me to visit that particular restaurant and find someone to talk there. Jessica sighed and for a moment she was staring in her coffee and then she said “If you ask me what is the most important thing at my job! It is you, the customers are the most important thing”. She continues to say “I have created a particular bonding for my customers in my heart, I try to remember their faces and at what time they visit here”. I asked her “Ok but what you exactly do? When the other waitress left she continued “Actually we have not only to keep eyes on the tables, but we have to keep eyes on the faces of customers. We have to anticipate the likes, dislikes and the needs of customers”. She continues “I myself try to treat customers as they are personal guests at my home. We also to have be good at multitasking. We have to clean tables, take orders and provide hot food on these tables. This requires a lot of attention and we have to do it with agility and with smile on our faces. Inspired by the hardworking identity that blue-collar workers shaped in their careers, Mike Rose, in his article titled "Blue-collar Brilliance", describes that intelligence is not only developed with a high educational level but throughout experiences, involvements, and interrelations in a workspace. When Mike Rose was a child, he used to visit his mother and uncle at their job, and he paid careful attention to how the they behaved in the work environment influencing him later to study the relationship between the blue-collar jobs and the demand of both body and brain. Mike Rose first started to think about this topic by evoking all the memories of visiting his mother at her job as a waitress. He could witness that his mother was very skilled and agile at her job even though she quit school. Likewise, he remembered that in order to satisfy every client, his mother had developed smart and efficient ways to complete each of her tasks with which she even took into consideration her co-workers' mood.…

I have always been interested in learning and using new ideas. Throughout my life, I have invariably drawn from my life experiences, newly learned ideas and my continuing education to help problem-solve sensibly and realistically allowing me to move forward or help others reach their goals. Although I have no formal teaching experience, in my past work and involvement in organized sports, I have repeatedly used the Progressive philosophy. When dealing with 13 & 14 year olds many situations arise such as bullying, personality clashes or simply not understanding a drill or play. I deal with these situations by asking questions to stimulate a discussion, allowing them to draw on past experiences; positive or negative, consequently allowing them to come up with a solution or grasp the knowledge they are seeking.…

Although many of Billy Collins’ short poems feature a first-person perspective, readers should not necessarily assume that the voice belongs to the poet himself. Indeed, at times, Collins speaks in the voice of a distinct character whose experiences and thoughts reveal a specific situation and crisis. In “The Waitress,” for example, the speaker’s observations indicate that he dines out often enough to recognize the behaviours common to restaurant servers, but the detail of his description suggests that observing the waitress on this occasion has become a personally meaningful activity. The speaker’s detailed observation of his apparently indifferent waitress gives way to a romantic fantasy that reveals him to be a lonely man contemplating…
