The drive up to the lake was about 7 hours. Most of the time I just lied down in our vehicle unbuckled listening to music or falling asleep on top of all our bags of clothes and sleeping bags. If I was not listening to music I was mostly just taking in the view. The landscape changes drastically as you travel further north in Minnesota. The roads grow more rutted and the views become even sweeter. Looking out of the windows I saw an abundance of cool things and amazing views. The rocks overlooking the lakes and seeing fisherman almost 500 ft below over a cliff. He also had brought along tubes for tubing of course. I always liked the idea of tubing, but for some reason was scared about it. I tried to avoid going, but my siblings pushed me until I gave in. I remember shaking at the beginning but as we went faster and faster, I finally started to enjoy it. The only thought that still frightened me was falling off of the tube. At this point I had stayed on for about 10 minutes without falling off. My uncle was whipping us around and after a sharp turn i purposely launched myself off the tube. I landed about 20 feet away from where I had leaped and was laughing about how terrifying and exciting it was. When we took a break from tubing the whole family decided to swim in the middle of the lake. This tiny lake that I did not think could be any more than 20 ft deep turned out to actually be around 40 and till this day is the deepest water I have ever swam
