On a sunny Thursday afternoon, my girlfriend and I biked down to the Beacon Hill Children’s Farm. I was not looking forward to this excursion. The last time I had been near a farm animal was a decade ago. I thought the farm animals were going to smell awful, and I was worried there were going to be obnoxious children running around. After getting slightly lost on the commute there, we arrived at the farm. I donated to the farm and received a goat stamp on the back of my hand, akin what I did years ago. We did a tour of the farm, beginning with pigs, and puppies, then Alpacas and sheep, and finally: baby goats.

It was a breezy, and clear night. From the top, I could see most of the city, with views of the ocean and surrounding mountains with a beautiful sky above them. At the parking lot on the summit, there were two massive tour buses parked. One for a random tour group and another from a senior’s home. These buses filled half the parking lot. The other half was filled with cars of people who drove up with takeout fast food, who stayed in their cars to watch the sunset. I witnessed one man getting out his car to take a single photo, and then immediately return to his seat. After watching the sunset for 20 minutes, I decided to take the long route back
