Personal Narrative Essay: A Stuffed Animal In High School

Improved Essays
The day I was blamed for “stealing” a stuffed animal. It was in second grade, in Mrs. Kaufman's class, on fun-Friday. A little back story. How do I say this? She wasn’t a big fan of me, why? I have no clue, I was a great student , I turned homework in on time, got good grades, didn’t talk during class, and I never got in trouble until this day. It was a normal fun-Friday, we were about to go to lunch when “McKenzie” and I were arguing about this stuffed animal that she brought.I don’t remember why but i'm pretty sure she wanted us to come up with a name for it and we didn’t agree on a name (arguing isn't really the right word for it). Then we went to lunch I ran out of that door so fast because first I LOVE food, secondly I was always trying to meet up with my friends from other classes. …show more content…
Kaufman’s favorite student always stayed back and ate lunch with her. And that’s when “McKenzie” decided to put her dog into my desk. When lunch was over Avery and I and a couple of our other friends were always the last one’s back to the classroom because I was just a little social butterfly. As I was walking into the classroom McKenzie was leaving, and she gave me this little smirk. When she got back it was during silent reading time. All of a sudden she busts out crying, I thought nothing of it, so i just kept reading, like the good student I was. Mrs. Kaufman ran over and literally starts praising her. I probably rolled my eyes , because I was a little sassy second grader. Next thing I know is my ears are bleeding because Mrs.Kaufman is SCREAMING during silent reading time, how ironic. She was the type of teacher that would yell/ scream at you instead of asking politely asking or saying something. Her screaming was like nails on a chalkboard,

In Sleeping Freshmen Never Lie by David Lubar, the scene I choose for the rewrite in another character’s point of view is the one when Vernon attacks Scott from behind while Kyle and Kelly watched. This was on page 244. I choose this scene because there is so much action and I feel I can write about this scene because so much occured. The original scene is told from Scott’s perspective. Now, the perspective I will be writing it in is Vernon’s; so, we will get his perspective.…

but I didn’t because I didn’t want to them punch me. At 12:02 I was just minding my own business, fixing my saxophone out of my locker, when somebody came up to me. Mackenzie, a senior girl part of the “mean girls” group, pushed me into my locker while I had my saxophone in my hand. The locker door shut in my face really hard and slammed very loudly! Nikki, Chloe, Zoey, and Brandon rushed to my locker as fast as they could.…

When I was four, I became a world-renowned veterinarian. Confidently, I strolled out of my house wearing my ID card and lab coat into the crisp and brightly lit night air. It was Halloween, and I was ready to conquer the neighborhood. Even though I was only playing the part of animal doctor for the night, it was evident that my love for amazing creatures was as real as any vet’s.…

The first thing I noticed when I walked into Jasmine Middle School was how big the eighth graders were. I knew that in middle school the sixth graders would be the babies, but it was still kind of a shock at how big eighth graders really were; well, at least I hoped the kids I was looking at were eighth graders. If the group of kids hanging out by the lockers were seventh graders, then eighth graders must be huge. Luckily, after looking around for a few seconds, I spotted my best friend, Georgina Larson by the water fountain. She’s never hard to find, because her hair is light blonde, and she’s always wearing really flashy outfits.…

I’ve seen her turn simple situations into something it wasn’t. Suspending students for speaking on something she didn’t agree with, if she felt offended. I thought she would fail me, because she gave out D’s like it was popular. But since I’ve passed all the other marking periods and completed her assignment the way she wanted us to, she had no choice but to pass me. If only she had simply spoke to me calmly and told me how I had to correct my mistakes it truly would not have ended the way…

4 years ago, I was a part of a fiber arts class at my high school. For our final project, we needed to make either a doll or stuffed animal, & I chose to make a doll, using as many recycled materials as possible in its creation. Turns out this little choice set something huge in motion. Not long after, I found myself in Nicaragua where my family had moved for 6 months, & I encountered poverty like we just don’t see in the US. My heart broke for all the girls that I saw who felt insignificant and worthless, a feeling I was all too familiar with during this time in my life.…
