Personal Narrative Essay: A Stressful Day In The Day

Improved Essays
One bright and sunny day, Patrick was walking home from a very stressful day at school, but today was Friday, which meant he got to relax a little. When he got home, he grabbed some snacks and plopped down on the couch. Earlier in the day, his friend James had mentioned that a girl he knew was having a party that night and they should go check it out. He pondered whether or not he wanted to break his mom’s rules and sneak out. He let the idea slip in and out of his mind while he watched brain-draining television. About an hour past and suddenly, his mom came home. She was upset that Patrick hadn’t done any of his chores, so she demanded that he do them immediately and then sent him to his room. He didn’t care. His room still gave an overwhelming …show more content…
And so he did. The dark shadow had seemed to disappear. Patrick quickly got off the swing and hid in the colorful play tubes a few feet away. There had to be about a hundred of them coiled together, all leading to different areas of the park. He sat in the tubes for what seemed like 10 minutes, until he heard loud bang from the nearest entrance. He crawled as fast as he could, trying to make enough space between them, to call anyone he could. He went to reach for his pocket and realized his phone must have fallen out and then; terror set in. He sat quietly in the middle of a tube, listening very closely to any sounds that became prevalent. Patrick heard nothing and as time passed on, he slowly began to fall …show more content…
From the look of it, it wasn 't very humanistic. It was covered with pus-filled boils and oozing bloody scratches. Piercing eyes as red as the depths of hell and there was an absence of skin surrounding the mouth. All that remained was the sharp rotten teeth, its muscles and a long snake-like tongue, seen with excessive amounts of saliva.
The figure managed to pull Patrick out of the tubes and duct taped his mouth shut. Its beady red eyes showed the amusement it was getting out of torturing him. He dragged Patrick 's fidgeting body in the shadows of the night.

Patrick Peters was never seen again. A few weeks after the incident, police found half of his body in an abandoned bakery. The other half was never found. There were traces of bloody cookie stencils and cut up body parts in freezer bags. As the police reported to the news crew, Patrick’s legs had several cookie cutter marks dug out and they believe by the deteriorating remain that they were eaten just a few hours after tormenting and torturing the young boy. Moral of the story, never sneak out, and always follow your gut intuitions or you gut might be the target of the predators delicious

It was a scorching summer afternoon around three o’ clock PM at J.D Redd Park. I was anxiously waiting in third base for the batter to approach the plate and smack the yarn covered ball just enough for me to make it to the home plate. As the sun hits my face I see the pitcher retract his right arm getting ready to throw it. As I see the ball leave the pitcher’s hand, I breathed in the humid air, making preparations to sprint as fast as I could and make it to the home plate. Before I could even gather my thoughts the ball departed from the pitcher’s hand and into the bat of one of the members of my team.…

The doctor was aware the workload was a lot for one worker, and was in the process of hiring another employee. Even though the job caused a lot of stress, I believe it taught me to multi-task, be efficient, and work under pressure. The best way I deal with stress, is to see it as a challenge.…

Stress has changed over the years as well. My early childhood life didn’t include the worry of life, but the concern of self. I grew up as a very shy individual and was constantly scared to talk or speak in many situations. I am not sure how or why I was a shy individual, but it was a big stressor during my early development.…
