It was the year of 2011, I met this Girl named Lilly Dreyer. At the time we where in second grade, I am guessing she didn't like me,and really I did not like her at all. I was the new girl that year I was Starting end of September, switching Schools not always the easiest thing. My Second grade Teacher Ms.Dalhgren introduced me this very diverse group of girls. Right their in the middle there was Lilly. Unlike everyone else she did not smile at me or give me that new girl friendly welcome. I always had trouble making friends back then my mom would always say to me that Lilly is a sweet girl and that I should be friends with her, I would always say to my mom that we don't really like each other,my mom said that I should always try to get to know …show more content…
So you can probably imagine what happened. Me and Lilly had the time of our lives probably because we where so sugar high. I had my other friends to but Lilly just came out and blended like we where all one big group.During the end of the school year their was the Third grade picnic. Lilly came and sat with me and my Mom, i have to admit i was really glad, but at the same time really shocked! Lilly's dad came that day to spend a little time with her,by the end of the picnic our parents thought we should hang out during this summer. During Mid Summer,My Dad,me,Lilly, and her dad met up to play some miniature golf..basically it was like more of a hangout for a dad's,and less like a hangout for ourselves.Another school year began and me and Lilly where in the same class again. Fourth Grade had began! One day me and Lilly had our "playdate" after …show more content…
As I wrote this article i have learned one thing... me and Lilly have really grown together she is my person she has taught me a lot, we have our moments when we need our space, but at the end of the day we both know that we are always gonna be best friends. We have sleepovers very often now, and those are like the most hilarious, memorable, happy sleepovers! Our sleepovers usually includes some hilarious snapchat and Instagram stories,of course prank calls are a must, and some very interesting movies that we both pick out. She is my friend, and I love her for always going through with me when i am down, and always making me smile. Personally I feel that having a best friend is so important. It may take some time to get to know them but, once you do get to know them it so amazing because you always have someone their to talk to and those fun times. Just know that everyone has a best friend waiting for them.. it might take a while to meet them so my advice for you is to just be patient, and get to know people you never know they just might turn out to be your best

One day we were talking at lunch and a girl came up to us and started talking to us about herself and how discourteous her friends were to her, of course we told her that she could hang out with us. All three of us had the same class and became best friends quickly, after that I made some friends and I had the best school year of my life. The 6th grader that sat next to me was Destiny who, after 6th grade, went to Somerset but to this day we are still best friends. The girl who came up to us was Yesenia, who, after 6th grade, stayed being my best friend, all throughout middle school and was the only true friend I had all those years, she is still the best friend that I will ever have. I started that school year terrified, sad, and angry with my mom for making me move away from my friends, I’m fortuitous that I move or I wouldn't have met my two best friends that I consider family.…

Moving away from everything you have ever known sounds like a very daunting task. It seems even more insane to move the summer before your senior year. Even though it was scary, moving 5 hours away my senior year taught me many important lessons. Just like Beowulf showing courage in his battles, I was courageous and started my whole life over. The giant move I made taught me that friends are not always true, happiness is self-caused, and life is too short to stay somewhere for familiarity.…
