A Highwayman´s Life
I was walking in a dark alleyway cold and alone. I felt as if I have been there before. I believe that was where my parents abandoned me when I was a six. When they first abandoned me, I remember vividly my experience at the orphanage, a red coat had brought me there on the third day after my parents abandoned me. In the orphanage, I remember a group of orphans who used to bully me. I also remember that the food in the orphanage was very scarce and limited. Enough dwelling on the past, I had turned to the ways of a highwayman. I never had the opportunity to receive an education because going to school was too expensive and inconvenient. I have stolen from all types of people, the rich, the gullible and the foolish. All the money I stole went straight to buying food and necessities. One day, I had a sudden urge for revenge for the orphans who used to bully me at the orphanage. I felt this rage because thinking

Fury and rage stirred inside me because I know who did it, the redcoats. I had seen the red coats outside the inn when Bess had shot herself to alarm me that the redcoats were there. I was shrieking like a madman and got on my horse and spurred my horse like there was no tomorrow. I brandished my rapier high and came riding to the filthy redcoats. They did not see me coming and I pierced through the heart of one and stabbed the other red coat in the throat. The next day, I felt relieved because I had avenged my true love, Bess. I had stolen an approximated amount of two hundred thousand dollars from the inn’s savings. I used this money to find a better and safer place to live, I also used this money to continue my education. Two years later, I have a very stable income and I’m living with my beautiful wife and kids. Even though I have all of this I will never forget about my one true love,

My childhood in New York City was very difficult for me. I grow up in a predominantly Hispanic Dominican decent neighborhood in the upper Manhattan area called Washington Heights. Washington Heights in the early 1990’s was the heart of the drug trade. At one point in the 1990’s it was considered one of the worst neighborhoods to raise a child. I remember in the news, the news anchor reported that New York City was recognized as the crime capital in the 1950's through the early 1990's.…

There was an experience I had before I moved from Philadelphia to Reading. When I was younger, I got locked out of my home, and instead of being scared, I thought of many ways to deal with this situation. From this moment, I learned that I don’t have a normal thinking process, with this knowledge I begin using this for my advantage starting from elementary school. When I was young I had gotten locked out of my house by accident, but I was not scared I just started thinking of ways to get back.…

My first car was something that I greatly was looking forward to getting as a child and my interest in getting one grew, as the days got closer to my sixteenth birthday. The first car I owned was a Automatic Black 2004 Ford f-150 truck, which I discovered on a website called Craigslist. It was priced at five thousand nine hundred dollars with only eighty-four thousand miles on it, which in my case was great considering that I could only afford a seven thousand dollar car. The truck came with all manual locks and windows and also had a small amount of hail damage that could really only be seen at a certain angle. But even with reasonable price on the truck I still attempted to negotiate for an even lower price to further my luck.…

The year I got my driver 's license began auspiciously, with the sheikh 's home on Sunset Boulevard burning to the ground on New Year 's Day. It was about a decade after Manson and before Menendez, and the sheikh 's lewdly-embellished statues lining the property reinforced the certainty that all threats came from outside the city limits. I was at my best friend Allegra 's house a half block away when we heard the sirens and went to watch the spectacle. Wearing the Benetton sweaters they 'd gotten for Christmas, the crowd chanted “Burn, burn, burn,” until the mansion 's copper roof collapsed.…
