Great Essays
The day I went on the trip was June 28th through June 30th. It started a couple weeks before when Joel said “Hey does anyone want to go to White Cloud Michigan for a three day trip?” I was thinking about it and I signed up. The days passed by like racing cars and that’s when the day arrived, I was ready to go. It took us three hours driving. It felt like an eternity, especial when we heard the same song on the radio like three million times. When we were in the van, we slept, we sang, and we played games. It was very interesting.
This was the first time me and my sister have been out of state for the first time without or parents, we were kind of nervous. The day we left my mom and dad were sweating bullets, they were so nervous that they didn’t even want us going anymore. I told my mom “We will be ok I promise.” When we left we made sure that we had everything ready to go. When my parents dropped us off they watched us get out of the car they watched our every move. Joel said “One hour left.” We all gave a very long and sad look. We still have a long way to go. We finally got there and we all got out of the car ready to start running around like crazy, but we all just stretched out and entered the cabin. We entered and the first thing we say was a happy dog ready to greet everyone. We can smell the lake that greets you when you get to the backyard. We start getting ready because our advisors said we were going to the beach. Christian said “But it’s so cold outside” and we all agreed that it wasn’t a good day to go to the beach. We went and when we got into the water Diego started spaying me with a water gun and I got mad. I said “why are you spraying me with that? It’s so cold”. Everyone started telling Diego to stop spraying people and he got a little mad because he couldn’t have

After waiting another hour and a half, they came out to get me and my mother so we could go back and see him.…

I watched her go from my happy sister to a tiny frail little girl who couldn 't even hold food down.I shaved my head so she wouldn 't feel so out of place, but people continued to say I did it for attention. It broke my heart and this is when my depression got out of hand. One night as I rode the bus home, I broke down into tears and had my first anxiety attack. This is also when I first talked to one of the greatest people I know. He walked up and sat next to me and talked to me for about three hours on the way home from the band competition.…

“The cold darkness of the clouds were in the sky, when all of a sudden the eyes of hundreds of animals were laid upon my body as I began to run.” “Stop!” yelled my mother as I was just finishing telling my little brother a frightening story, explaining how if he didn 't do my chores for the rest of week, he would be put in an evil forest filled with beastly creatures. I believed it worked as I could see goose bumps on my 6-year-old brothers arms and legs, along with him instantly running to go unload the dishwasher for me. My mother, with her arms crossed, came over to me and said, “don 't ever scare Josh like that again Jake. He’s only six years old and shouldn 't be listening to horrifying stories to wander his child-like mind”. With…

This was the ultimate car ride that I would have with my brother and not knowing that he would be dead two weeks later. Once we arrived at Long Lake, my pastor called people down for baptisms.
