It was an unusual day. Today is just different, it’s just not a typical day. Although everyday always seems to be a re-play of the same exact day. The vibe was different. Usually I did everything in a certain matter and way. Everything felt backwards and odd today. I usually never raked the leaves of my backyard. What was I thinking that day? When the routine is different, something always seems to happen. I was excited, enthusiastic and happy like I always would be. My neighbor invited me to go roller skating. Only reason I was raking the leaves was because I wanted to go roller skating. I remember that day my mom wasn’t convinced at all of us going.. I had to really convince her. As it was getting late we went on with the day, it was around …show more content…
When I walked in the building a bad sensation gave me a headache making my attitude of skating instantly change. It felt like a truck load had loaded a bunch of bricks on top of my head. When we were all in line there was a big sign that were marked bold and sharp it read caution “skate at your own risk we are not responsible. As I read that I thought Maybe I shouldn’t skate. When we was already to pay I told the man at the counter, “I’m so tired i've been raking the leaves of my backyard all day, do I have to pay even though I am not skating?” He told me the entrance fee is $10 I thought. What a rip off! I entered angrily grabbed a pair of skates and they didn’t fit me like are you serious. I was furious and told the guy he had gave me the wrong size. As I grabbed a new pair I sat down and tied them. I was slowly trying to learn how to skate, holding on to the sides of the rink. All of the sudden I get the urge to skate freely. The speed was too fast that I stumbled in the wall. Trying to gain balance, my ankle twisted and I fell on top of it. A big pound of the floor I heard a loud crack within my senses. Thinking I had broken my spinal …show more content…

If I was in your position ill probably be screaming I was just there laughing in a sense of panic. As six paramedics pulled me up they injected me 3 times. I started to feel the pain as they pulled back in the emergency room. Rushed me in a bed and my parents were not there. When I was in the bed, I could hardly feel the pain. They injectected me with a needle that extremely hurt. I need a pillow… the paramedic was the best he brought 3 pillows to make my leg arch in the same position i stood. The specialists came in took x-rays and there he stood as the nurses told me “you won’t remember this” “it will be fast” as they injected a large needle. My eyes blurred I felt somebody twist my foot as I stared straight forward and remember everything. to this day I still

Soft whooshing sounds rose up from beneath my skis as they slid across the soft crystal like snow glistening in the bright winter sun. The cool and crisp air was the ideal temperature for a day of skiing, not too cold to make it uncomfortable, but still cold enough to keep the snow from melting and turning slushy. With these snow conditions and bright blue skies above, all in all, it looked to be a perfect day for skiing with my family. Accompanied by my Mom, Uncle, and 4 cousins, we woke at the crack of dawn, packed the car with equipment and snacks, and began the hour and a half trek to Mount Sunapee in New Hampshire. At best, my level of skiing competence could be described as advanced-beginner.…
