She was a teacher, a friend and a go to. Whenever I needed help she was always there to help me. I don’t think that I would even be considering college if it wasn’t for her. She was the #1 person that helped me apply for college, and helped out with all that came with that. I was so lost in the middle of school year because I was failing and caught up in the wrong things. She stepped in with a kind heart and made me do what I had to do to get out of high school. This fall I will be attending Texas Southern University where I will study architecture and engineering. I will also be in the navy reserves. I want to use my navy platform to open my own business in about 10 years. I’m not sure yet if I want a hair salon business or if I want to go into interior design. Whichever career path that I choose I know that I will be successful. This long journey of high school has been very stressful, I’ve worked so hard to get where I am. Although it is not over yet I will continue to push through to success. Most of all I want to thank my mother and my two sisters for never letting me slack off and staying on me about attending school every
