My sophomore year I made another decision that would impact my academic standing by joining a Fraternity regardless of my lack of understanding of Greek life. I threatened to drop multiple times throughout the semester, but decided to stay after numerous talks with our president and noticing the time-management skills I was developing. Between fighting a time crunch and dealing with the …show more content…
During the summer of 2014, I was excited to notice I was doing well in Organic Chemistry and realized I needed an A on the final to maintain an A in the class. I had my final for Organic Chemistry and Anatomy within an hour of each other, and by focusing on Organic Chemistry I earned a C on my Anatomy final, which dropped my grade from an 84 to a C+ when the grades were weighted. I realized after to never put all my eggs in one basket, as I could have easily maintained my grades in both classes if I spread my attention to both subjects. I took Organic Chemistry II in the Fall of 2014, and this class was taught by a new professor at Florida State University. He was fired after a year of teaching due to his lack of teaching capabilities. I visited his office hours atleast twice a week, and would score A's on practice exams, but would somehow never manage to earn a grade higher than a B on his official exam. My final C was received during the summer of 2015 in intermediate Metabolism

By this time, I have learned more about college than I thought I would have learned by this point in time. Some of the things that I have learned is that everyone is just as uncomfortable as everyone else and that everyone is just trying to find their place to fit. I have learned that no one is exceedingly rude or mean and for the most part when people seem to think that others are judging them they are just having a normal conversation. In reality, it seems that our brains are our worst enemy in allowing us to be ourselves around others and not be concerned all the time about people thinking we are the biggest freak or that we are to awkward around other people. What I have learned is that sometimes you have to put yourself out there and…

Entering my freshman year in college, I was quite nervous for multiple reasons. I was nervous about keeping my grades up, making new friends, and ultimately figuring out who I was going to become as I transitioned into adulthood. However, the idea that scared me the most was the thought of having to write numerous, long and complicated essays, which I had always heard college students talk about. In high school writing was not made of any importance; therefore, I felt quite unprepared and petrified to attempt a college level English course.…
