The drive to the school had felt so quick, and before she knew it she was standing in her classroom. Emily didn't know anyone and this was her first time being with other kids without her parents. Her teacher, Mrs. Hill had walked over to comfort her since she looked nervous to be there. She was very friendly and Emily had liked her already. Emily played by herself until a little girl named Ella came over and started playing with her. They started talking and realized, they had so much in common, she could not believe she just made a friend. Mrs. Hill had said that their first activity would be revolved around learning colors. Mrs. Hill brought in fruits for each color of the rainbow, Emily loved fruit so she was very excited. Her classmates were jumping up and down, yelling out what each fruit color was and the name of it but she wasn't. Emily had got overwhelmed since she didn't know any of the colors but Ella had helped her out and she was catching on. Emily loved the activity at the end because she found out her favorite color was blue and they got to try each fruit! Emily was so excited for the next activity because it was a scavenger hunt. Emily and Ella had ran to each other and said they were going to be partners but they saw one of their classmates all alone with no one. They asked her if she wanted to be in their group and she said yes. Her name was Anna, and they found out she was shy just like them! They started walking around the room finding shapes everywhere, from a circle by the trainset, to a triangle in the book center, and to a square by the sink.They kept finding more and more!
