A place that I find inspiring is my own high school, East Mecklenburg High School, commonly known as East Meck. When I was in elementary school, East Meck held a terrible reputation for drugs, weapons, and other things of the sort, which made me believe that East Meck was not the right place for me. Fast forward to middle school, I was accepted into the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. This was great news except for the fact that my middle school fed directly into East Meck’s IB program.
In order to continue the IB program that I had deeply fallen in love with, I decided to put my dislikes aside and attend East Meck. From the very first day, I was shocked to see how much my opinion of East Meck and the reality of East Meck were poles
