Personal Narrative: Dylan Neate

Baylee, Trevor, and then Dylan. Growing up, I was always third. Thats just the way it has been. Third to start school. Third to drive. Third to compete in sports. Always third. No matter what I tried to do, someone had already done it. So, back when I was in seventh grade, I decided that I was going to stop being third and start being a first in the family.. No longer would I solely be defined as Baylee’s littlest brother or the last Neate. I wanted to be known as Dylan Neate. Therefore, I ventured away from the traditional “Neate” pathway of sports galore. I decided to focus mainly on swimming, which was something completely different for us Neates.
