I put my seatbelt on. Then, I gently pressed the brake down to shift into drive. The minute it was in drive, I mashed the gas all the way to the floorboard. I quickly took my foot off the gas and moved it to the brake. I hit the brake the same as

The thought of getting behind the wheel seemed like far too much responsibility. While waiting for my mom to drive me anywhere was a somewhat aggravating loss of freedom, I felt I needed more time before I went back to piloting heavy machinery. I felt obligated to act almost as I had when I was first getting my license- I even spent awhile only driving with one of my parents in the passenger seat. At first, I was screaming internally from the moment I put the key in the ignition to the moment I parked it at my destination. Changing lanes made me very anxious, I saw all cars as threats (actually I still do), and unprotected left hand turns came close to actually frightening me.…

I ride because I was thought that you need to be active in life, but it was never about the one hour of activity time we are supposed to have growing up. it was much more than that. I didn't need help to ride, I needed help to face down my enemies, or conquer my dreams.…

Relax and begin warning other drivers. If your brakes become unresponsive, do not panic. It’s quite possible that an empty soda can or some other piece of trash has become lodged behind your brake pedal. Downshift, is the second step, your car to a lower gear. Being part of the generation who grew up watching Fast and the Furious films has always made me want to drive a car. At that time I knew I still had a while before I could drive, but any chance I got to be in the driver seat I would. My first time I ever got behind the wheel was right after I watch the fast and the furious in 2001. It was during the summer, my mom was washing her car and according to her “I accidently locked myself inside and somehow I managed to turn the car on and started backing up the car.” My mom was so scared she started yelling “put the car on park” “put the car on park” but I had no clue what she meant.…
