I have always dreamed to be the next influential American for my generation. During my childhood I've always looked up to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Maya Angelou, and Misty Copeland; all African Americans who influenced me to be the person I am today. Martin Luther King taught me that change is possible and if I fight for what’s right an impact will be made. Maya Angelou taught me that you can express yourself without being flamboyant, but through metaphors, empowerment and irony. Misty Copeland made me realize that I can be an African American girl who dances, and I can make it out of my county doing what I love. I’ve always wanted to be a motivational social worker.
