Looking back on my life I can honestly say, I had it rough. Growing up with an abusive father and an alcoholic mother wasn't the best; but Allison Kristen Wright and Thomas Joe Wright had one hell of a daughter thirty one years ago. Standing a spectacular five feet tall and 120 pounds I am one feisty woman. Although a fan of the pants suit, one might see me in my signature black dress and heels. Black is my favorite color because it compliments my blue eyes and bold attitude. Through the seasons, I stick to this style even when my pale white skin turns into average tomato red. I remember in school I was bullied for my fair skin, which is one of the many reasons I graduated from high school early and applied …show more content…
My boss was a real jerk, but he did teach me the principles of business. While working there I found the love of my life, Jim Halbert. We eventually ran off together to State College, Pennsylvania. There Jim ran a sports marketing company, which sponsored Penn State, and I went back to school for Political Science. After getting a two year degree at a community college nearby, I was offered a job at Penn State to teach Business and Politics. I remember the plaque on my desk, Mrs. Hayden Wright Halbert. It’s crazy to think I had even made it that far. The odds were stacked against me, since the day I was born. I was an accident. My mom meant to have an abortion but decided she wanted to give me up for adoption instead. After being born, she claims to have fallen in love with my big blue eyes and soft pale skin. From there on they battled everyday with their drug and alcohol addiction and also with each other. By my tenth birthday we were on our fifth move and our third car. Whether we were running from the police or from our problems, I would truly never know. Although this seems like a sob story, I am very lucky to have grown up in this way. I learned a lot from my parents and their addictions. I also …show more content…
If one is born on American soil, they should be considered an American. Although this is my opinion I do believe that we should make getting into America, harder than it already is. Through extra police work and even military action, we should have a goal to minimize illegal immigration by early 2017.
My plan to help the economy purely stems in the creation of new jobs. I believe that bringing more companies back from overseas could really impact the economy and boost it to where we need it to be.
One of my biggest problems is the moral decline of Americans. I believe that nowadays people aren't thinking before they speak, they are treating others as things instead of people, and people are forgetting manners. I know that when I am in the Senate I will impact this by being the best role model I can be. I wont disappear while in office, and that is a promise. I will continue to accept people as well as respect everyone who crosses my path during my time in the Senate.
Taxes these days are ridiculous, what can I say the average American is paying an outrageous amount of money on programs not needed. My plan is to lower taxes, for the common man and increase them for those who make over $130,000 a year. Little by little every American making $130,000 will efficiently impact the lowering of
