I was afraid to pick Doodle up. My hand wrapped around his body and my other hand wrapped around his head, holding him up. The blood started to drip out of his mouth and onto my shirt and stained it. Once I got back home I went to my room and hugged a pillow trying not to cry but it slipped I started to burst out crying. Mom came in and hugged me but I pulled away after awhile of just sitting there, she got up and

Of course, there have been occasions where when I have been put under stress I have snapped, but even so, I was able to bounce back, and I find ways to overcome my disappointment or discouragement and do what it takes to be successful in my endeavors. I have always enjoyed math and writing, but I found that expressing myself, especially through art, was particularly difficult for me to do. Art does not allow fear of vulnerability nor discomfort, which is why creating a portfolio to express myself then be judged in a show seemed very intimidating at first.…
