Personal Narrative: Disneyland And California Adventure

Decent Essays
I've done many things over the course of the summer. All of these things have been done with my friends or family. It was really fun to spend a lot of time with the people I care about.
During the month of June I did a couple of things. Throughout the first week I went to Raging Waters with with one of my best friends. The main reason we went was because we really wanted to go on their new ride, Aqua Blaster, and once we did we couldn't stop. Another fun thing that I did was going to Disneyland and California Adventures. The only reason I was able to go was because someone I knew got a job there and was able to let my friend and I in for free.

When I was younger on my twelfth birthday I had been given two options that I would receive as a present. My mother would either take me to Six Flags or she would buy me a mini motorcycle. This was a difficult decision because, although I never been to Six Flags I’ve always wanted a motorcycle. I had asked for a motorcycle the year before but, she said no because it was too dangerous. Still until this day I wonder why she allowed me to get one a year later.…

Summertime was always the best part of the year for me. I always looked forward to when my aunt would start to pack her things in our small living room in New York City. She would tell me, "Now Dill, start packin' your clothes and fix your playthings so that we can leave early tomorrow mornin'," and I would always scramble into my room and stuff my favorite changes of clothes along with my prized posessions into one large bag. Once I was done, I would throw it one the pile of my aunt's luggage and beg her to hire out a pilot to fly us into Maycomb. "C'mon Aunt Sally, I've saved up all my money so's that we can fly on in on one of those huge airplanes," I would plead.…

My 3rd trip to California was probably the best time of my life. My family and I went last year during spring break. We took a 16 hour drive to our hotel, which had a bunk bed where I got to sleep top bunk. That night we got the best Domino’s pizza I ever had.…

"THREE, TWO, ONE!" The voice screams as the ride countdown begins, and suddenly we get shot out of the starting point at a whopping 60 miles an hour straight into the dark blacklight lit abyss. This along with the fearful drops of a lightning struck tower, a now empty concrete pad and two stunt shows along with many more make up Hollywood Studios. Another with flying elephants and two runaway mine trains make up the Magic Kingdom. Then the Yeti infested mountains and Dinosaur cities make up the Animal Kingdom.…

Orlando Trip This summer, I went on a trip to Orlando, Florida with the Youth Group of First Baptist Church Oxford. My friend David was the only person that went on the trip that was in my grade. Most of the people that went with us on this trip were juniors and seniors as well as a few people that were going to Ole Miss. This was one of the best trips I had been on in a very long time and a very good life experience for me.…

Throughout my life I have experienced many events have laid down the foundation for the future I am building. One of the most influential and eye-opening was a trip I took to Yosemite National Park during my junior year of high school. The trip was offered to high school students in Northern California, provided by the McConnell Foundation- an independent foundation that awards grants to nonprofit organizations, public education, and government entities. The goal of the trip was to educate students on the importance of the national park, learn about its ecology, explore its natural wonders, and to interact with and meet other students.…

Priceless Pennies There are lots of good ways to spend a summer. Stay up all night, sleep until noon, lounge by the pool, watch TV, or spend time with friends before they go back to college. The particularly ambitious might get a job and save up some money (just don’t work too much!) For three years I did none of these things.…

What I did This Summer This summer I did a lot of things, I traveled, went zip lining, and most importantly I spent time with family. This is probably one of the best summers I have ever had because my mom took off work to be with me and my brothers. Usually my dad stays home and he really isn't that fun. On the other half I got to go to my Dad's house because the way it goes for summers for me is that I have to do. The best thing I had to do all summer is I went to Alabama with my aunt and my grandma.…

I took a vacation to Italy. There was a lot of beautiful scenery, wonderful food, and so much more. I visited Rome, Venice, and Florence, went to the beaches, ate lots of Italian food, and went June 18-25th so it would not be too hot or too cold. First, I had to figure out what all I needed for my trip to Italy, I discovered I had to get a passport to even enter the country.” Passports should have at least six months remaining validity beyond your departure date.…
