If I would have been less ignorant, I would realize that "good enough" blocked my excellency. Significant events in my past altered my morals and shaped the habits I hold today. Even though I was not the best disciplined student throughout Junior High, significant events moved a barrier blocking a realization of myself and others.
The first event occurred during the latter half of Junior High. Stakes were high and nerves were tingling, it was time for me to present my Entrepreneurship project to a panel of judges for the state FCCLA competition. If I succeeded, I would go to national competition to represent Ohio on the Entrepreneur project. The following, my friends and I met our teacher in the auditorium for the award ceremony. After a year of loose commitment to the organization, I came back to help the youth, serve my community, and earn merit badges before the opportunity dissipated. This was going to require a huge time commitment, but I was willing to go the extra mile to obtain the extra knowledge and set a good example for the younger children by actively participating in service events. When I came back, I served as an instructor, lead an Eagle Project, and learned many new skills from my remaining merit badges. For the Eagle Scout board of review, we reviewed the skills I learned and my plans in the future. My plan for the future included working hard to serve my community because I realized that working hard for yourself is one thing but putting the same effort into helping others is life

350 word limits Essay Question - Other than your Eagle Scout leadership service project, what service have you provided to your community during your high school years? During my high school years, I have primarily provided service through my participation in the Christiana Care VolunTeen program and through the various clubs that I lead. The Christiana Care VolunTeen program allows young adults to help serve at the hospital in various areas, often exposing teenagers to how a hospital operates. Specifically, I worked in the Outpatient Pharmacy, SurgiCenter, and Pathology/Histology Lab, assisting patients and doctors with their various needs and tasks.…

As Benjamin Franklin states in The Way to Wealth; “The borrower is a slave to the lender”(Franklin). By a person continuing to not disembark from what they know, they will always be the slave to their knowledge past and never learn anything new. But if a person is to separate from the past knowledge they will become free to find new ways of thinking and grasp new concepts of life. They will no longer be blind in the dark but rather seen in the dark with light (knowledge). During The Age of Enlightenment, many people who found this enlightenment of knowledge instructed and informed the people of this way of thinking.…

This year has been a crazy one. I came from a public school, not knowing anyone, so I terrified and didn't know what to expect. I struggled with trusting others, time management and battling multiple tasks at once. Luckily, I had a lot of practice throughout the year. For instance when we had to record a News Show for Mr.Mora's class, I was faced with all of these problems.…

Prior to middle school, I thought I was satisfied with my position. I had friends, got along with my teachers, excelled in sports, and got decent grades in my classes. Back then, I thought this well-roundedness I sought between these necessities would offer me self-satisfaction. Little did I know, however, that I was going to confront this well-rounded nature of mine during my first awards ceremony in middle school. Among the most intelligent, artistic or athletic of the students present there, I was the one of the few who simply struggled to stand out.…

I went to elementary and middle school in Monroe City, before transferring to South Shelby my freshman year. That was the best decision I’ve made so far in my life. At first, I was worried. I didn’t think that any high school could be so friendly that they didn’t actually need locks on the lockers. But, after my mom talked to the cheerleading coach at the time, I realized that maybe this school is somewhat nice.…

There are numerous moments from my childhood that have helped shape my transformation into adulthood. The most of these moments involves my acceptance into my school’s branch of the J. Kyle Braid Leadership Foundation. The J. Kyle Braid Leadership Foundations, or JKB, is a program that helps mentor young adults into top leaders in their school and in the larger community. This group is very selective, as only 16 of the top school leaders are chosen each year to be accepted into this prestigious opportunity. Upon learning that I had been chosen as a member of this group, I was excited because I have always heard good things about the group, but did not realize how much of an honor this was until the potential of what I could do was presented…

That morning I couldn’t think of anything besides the day that laid ahead. Although I was excited I still dreaded leaving the comfort of my warm bed. After I realized it was already 10:20, I shot out of bed and scurried to the shower so I wouldn’t be late. It might’ve been the fastest shower i’d ever taken. Breakfast was the last thing on my mind, even though I knew that I should eat.…

In the seventh grade, I faced a large transition in life. The previous year I had experienced middle school for the first time, but I would make that entrance again.
