As i pulled the trigger of the crossbow i heard a loud thwack and watched the the deer run away with blood running down it side.it was a cold october morning at my house my dad and i wher getting ready to head to ionia to go deer hunting. we got there about thirty mins before dawn and starting setting up the the blind at this little open woods area about hundred yards off the hunting trail we finally got settled in the blind and the long wait began.

we had been waiting for at least an hour and heard nothing but squirrels and the birds. The wait was getting to be too much and i was just really anxious to see something come out of the woods. But then nothing happened for another two hours just as my anticipation was building up so much i almost couldn't handle it, then a doe ran out of the and stopped dead in her tracks in the middle of the open field(it was probably a good two hundred and fifty pounder).but then my dad apparently he heard some more movement in the woods and said

”don't take the shot I think there's a buck on the trail working his way in the field” as he said with a straight face trying not to scare away the deer in front of us.

so we waited for the deer to come out and sure enough my dad was right there was was a six point buck staring at us slowly working his way in the field.(he was a good sized buck probably

About 10 minutes into the walk I spotted something small and brown lying on the street. Rough Draft-Application Essay Ever since I was a little kid my family has been hunting and going out into the whitetail woods in hopes of getting a nice buck. I remember going out to my grandparents and seeing the deer my family had harvested that fall, and wondering when I could finally get to go and experience what it was like myself. I always watched my dDad come home and have a little buck in the bed of his truck and I thought how come it wasn’t like in the hunting shows where they go out and shoot a massive buck.…

When I pulled the trigger she ran twenty yards, I made a perfect shot on her. We went to pick her up to load her on the four wheeler. Deer hunting is a great sport I love the excitement and the rush that you get from an animal. I am always looking to improve on techniques for being quiet when the deer are approaching my stand I like to stand when a deer is coming than sitting down because it gives me more room and I can pull my bow a lot easier than sitting down. But some hunters like to sit down so they don’t scare the deer away, but I think it’s more of a challenge to do. As a deer hunter there is a right time and a wrong time for standing up when you are in an treestand like for one reason it’s a risky maneuver when you are trying not to spook a deer when standing up.…

In mid October early in the morning the day was crisp and chill. The sun was just burning the morning fog off of the lakes cool waters. The dew on the grass and trees was glistening from the sunlight and the bird were singing their songs of jubilee . The entire woods were peaceful and still, and the sunrise was magnificent. During this moment I realized how beautiful nature is when the outside world is a distant memory, and all we need to do is take advantage of the little things life gives us and never stress the big ones too much.…

I know this because this is what I would assume today. Again, my childish hope panned out because less than five minutes later the same three deer were back. My dad, who was extremely shocked, told me to calm down and take a long breath, shooting during the exhale when I took the shot. The deer got within twenty yards again. I, being a little more patient this time, slowly aimed at the doe.…
