So far all we’ve done was search. For food, for water, for shelter. It has only been a day is the dry, heated Death Valley. There was very little water left in the van but, the water was non refreshing, warm water. As I take a glaze off in the horizon I see tiny, little clear heat waves and tumbleweeds. Gina, Jenny and I headed up towards a dusty, rocky mountain when, we found something. “Do you guys see that?” Jenny questioned in excitement from her long exhausting day. “Is that a-a-a-” “A campsite!” Gina loudly interrupted. Thoughts just racing through my mind as we run towards the campsite. “It doesn’t look like anybody has been here for a while.” I said as I revealed the dryness of my mouth.
