Personally, I’d find cross country more fun to watch rather than track. In track all the athletes are doing is competing on an oversized oval, or are racing in a straight line. Cross country, however, tends to be on a long and winding course. The course for cross country is longer; the spectators have less of a chance to see the runners which can lead to pauses in seeing any action. I think that seeing the runners in a tougher environment is more enjoyable than seeing them all race for a short period on track. A cross country race usually lasts around twenty minutes, I’ve some people finish as fast as sixteen minutes, but that’s very unusual. Track races, on the other hand, last at most about 10 minutes if that, but the sprinting events last less than a minute.
