Crazy Horse
“YAYYY!” we all screamed when Mrs. Mack told us that I can go to Galena with Emma and Lauren. We were all so excited. After I went home and laid down a while, I thought that this weekend wouldn’t turn out good. I should still try to make the best of the trip while I can. On the day we were leaving the house to go to Galena. I got all of my things ready and went to the Mack’s house. Soon after, we left to go to the car. The ride was long drive. We played cards, sang to songs, slept and talked. But when we got to the house, I knew there wasn’t any precious time to lose. We got into our uncomfortable ski gear and right at that moment, Lauren noticed that she grabbed the wrong snow pants. She had to use some duct tape to fix the pants,

As I look up at the sky, which is blood red like the sun stabbed it so it could get away from its eternal partner,I begin to hear the horrible noises of these sky creatures. Their horrible squealing draws everything's attention because it sounds the an incantation to summon the devil from the pits of the underworld. The howling wind joins in trying to make the summoning happening quicker but instead it makes me feel like my ears are going to bleed and starts to cast a sleeping spell on anyone caught in this siren song. The trees become alive to this bewitching tunes as their rodent inhabitants begin to run around trying to attack one another like wolves attacking a deer. Next door the neighbor’s rowdy brats come outside, probably because this is their favorite tune, with their wild and atrocious dog to play game of run around and destroy the yard or as most call it fetch.…

Sit back, buckle up, and get ready to scream because I love roller coasters. My family and I go to Cedar Point about every month in the summer, and my dad and I go and ride everything in the park. It is just so fun! The one thing I really like about roller coasters is that there are little rides for the youth kids also. My least favorite thing is when I am not tall enough to enjoy a ride, which doesn’t really occur anymore.…

My own riding career thus far had been a roller coaster ride, tendency to second guess myself battled continually with my natural instincts. Over thinking things led me to over riding, and my mixed signals led my horse to produce ignorance. My consistence hesitation caused my horse and I to become mentally stuck. In the summer of 2013, I and my cousin, Jared, got a call from my dad telling us to get ready because he is coming to pick us up to go get a new horse he just bought. We did not think anything of it since it was not the first horse we had encountered this summer. When my dad pulled up in the old one-ton red Ford pickup pulling a 16foot red and black horse trailer, Jared and I jumped in the pickup. After about an hour of driving, we arrived at the man’s house that owned the horse. Once we introduced ourselves we followed the man through the muddy trail to his horse pens.…

It has been a week since we left from Independence, and I finally have some time to sit and write. So much has happened since last time I wrote. For a few examples: crossing the Kansas River, experiencing what it is like to be out on the trail, and not to mention a little love action going on in between Viola and Nathan's son, John. They sit out by the fire for hours, after the rest of us go to bed, and just talk. My wife thinks it is the cutest, but I have some suspicions about this boy.…
