I looked forward to spending my five dollars as efficiently as possible in order to get the coffee-fueled high I craved after three hours of sleep.

I reached Borders five minutes before happy hour ended and got myself a large hazelnut cafe latte (soon saturated with Splenda) at a discount price, and then later, a large iced coffee (also saturated with Splenda).
