Personal Narrative: Coming To The States

Improved Essays
Coming to the States was a huge transition – a decision to leave my family, my friends, my home, and everything else I was familiar with for the past 18 years of my life. The word “culture shock” does not even get close to summarizing all the struggles of an international student, but despite all the difficulties, I am absolutely loving it. I attend a lot of these at Wesleyan already, which accelerated my adjustment and understanding to the American culture, and I plan to do the same at DIS. I also wish to live in a homestay to get a better picture of Danish life and challenge myself away from the comforts of my peers. Finally, I plan on traveling a
