Personal Narrative: Collegium

I am Lakynn and I am 14 years old. I have loved anything music related ever since I was little. I like all types of music. Music is my way to escape. I know that Collegium is a music group where you dress up in Renaissance clothing and sing acapella. You guys perform several times. I have a friend in Collegium, Brianna Ring, and I have heard from her that Collegium is like a little family once you get to know everyone, and that is exactly what I am looking for. I love performing in front of people and I try not to show that I am nervous. Seeing familiar faces in the crowd, knowing that someone has my back, and knowing someone thinks that I can do it always helps me feel better. Collegium isn’t just singing with a group of people, you grow together throughout the four years of high school. Collegium is an experience like none other. Collegium is something fun and serious. In the third grade I sang gospel on the radio. It was something that I loved. In every school performance I have ever been in, I’ve sang a solo or sang/danced in a group. I am also in Ensemble, and this year I participated in the All County Choir. I even had a solo in the beginning of the show. My attendance is really good. The only time I miss school is when I am really sick. I am in B.E.T.A. and we do a great deal of practicing and we do a bunch of fundraising (like pancake breakfasts and spaghetti dinners). I am always there. I never miss. I try my hardest to help with whatever I can. One important part is, I never miss a show. I will cancel anything just to
