Personal Narrative: Coach Hill

Decent Essays
When I was 3 or 4 I went to my aunts basketball game her play. I had never met anyone on her team including her coach. It was that day I decided I wanted to play basketball. He told me it would take a lot of work too.

The reason Coach Hill inspired me is because he’s a good coach. At first I thought basketball was boring but Coach Hill made it really fun. Every single time I fell he helped me up and told me to try again.

I think that the hardest day to forget is about the day I met him. I would never forget or regret that day. The day I met him was probably before kindergarten.

McKeesport isn't one of the greatest places to live. In fact, it’s probably one of the worst in Allegheny County. After the decline of the Pittsburgh-region’s steel industry and the influx in gang activity, McKeesport became a cesspool of death, poverty, and demoralization. I moved to McKeesport when I was three. Growing up, McKeesport was always a depressing and discouraging environment.…
