Personal Narrative: Choosing Nursing As A Career

Choosing nursing as a career was a choice I made by my past experiences. This experience made me acknowledge what my purpose is to do in life. My appreciation for the field came from my great grandmother. My grandmother was a nurse during the Great Depression and stayed with the career for forty years. She always had stories to tell about her job and she never sugar coated them; this way I could really envision what it was like through a nurses’ eye. When my grandmother could no longer live by herself, she stayed with my family. I always took care of her, especially when she developed Alzheimer Disease. She might not have known it, but it was then when she taught me values of a nurse. Before she passed way, it did become very difficult to take
