“Katie! Get up! You’re going to be late!” Mom yells from downstairs. I open my eyes and glance at my alarm clock. It reads 7:28. “Uh oh,” I think.
“Coming, I’m coming.” I mumble, still half asleep. I rub my eyes and climb out of bed. I get dressed and go to the bathroom.
I ride the escalator downstairs and sit down at the island. A bowl gets set in front of me. Cereal. Again. I know better than to complain, so I start eating. I finish and ride the escalator back upstairs for my second trip to the bathroom. I snatch my toothbrush and toothpaste, and I start brushing my teeth. I look at my bracelet. 7:43. Oh boy. I spit into the sink and run down the escalator to grab my jacket and my backpack. Mom is waiting in the car, drinking her coffee.

There are multiple types of it though, so it could be Senior ID theft, Social ID theft, Medical ID theft, Tax ID theft, Child ID theft, or Synthetic ID theft.” He says, counting on his fingers. “He must be in a group, because he definitely can’t do this alone.”
“Okay, so what should we do now?” I ask getting excited.
“Um...” He mutters. “I think that we should get some evidence first. Yeah,” He mumbles, thinking it over, “we can come back tomorrow, and figure all that stuff out.”
One call and drive later, I arrive at my house. I quietly tiptoe up the escalator, and into my room. I tap my bracelet, and say “Identity theft.” Identity theft is one of the fastest growing crimes in America. Me bracelet says. The most common type of identity theft is shoulder surfing. “Oh gosh,” I thought. Just then I see a bunch of words, firewall, virus, Malicious code, spam, etc. etc. I turn my bracelet off and climb into bed. “Malicious code?” I think, excited but also scared for the next day.
