The intruder pounded some more on the door as they were exiting. Thankfully that made it outside the door quickly, but whoever it was broke in the door of their classroom shortly after. They ran up to a gas station near by and hid in there. Then thought that would put them in higher risk of being found and shot. She told the students to stay inside the store and hide to see if anyone except for the people working in the store could help her call someone to get the person because she left her phone in the classroom. She looked around the corner and saw a police man walking up to the door. She grabbed his arm immediately and told him what was happening. He walked up to the school to see what was going on. They looked and saw who it was so let him in to give a helping hand. When he got to the classroom you'll never believe what they saw. It was aliens in her classroom eating items throughout the room. When he tried to talk to them they understood him but he couldn't understand them. He tried to ask why they were here, and how much danger he put the students in. While he was figuring them out she turned the television on and broadcasters were talking about the situation

All throughout my school career, starting all the way in elementary school, school came very easy for me. I found that I rarely had to try hard at anything because it seems like I just knew it. With very little studying I was able to maintain high grades. In middle school I was put in advance math classes and it still wasn't a challenge but then in my junior year of high school things started to get difficult.…

From my personal experience, when I was in elementary school I remember my teacher would let us sit on yoga ball it always helped me concentrate and it helped me when I was really active because I could not move around, it will make me fall if I move around. I like the idea of standing desks because I prefer standing a lot but when I need to I could sit down on the tool, but I could still move my legs around and be somewhat active. So if one day you're feeling antsy you can just stand. Also I think if your tired it could help you stay awake. Mark Benden also states that sitting desk can cause kids to be obese, he also says that too much sitting is bad for your health.…

Upon entering my 1st grade classroom, students are welcomed into a multicultural, yet simple world. There are a few maps on the wall and a globe in a corner, and some family photos on my desk. A few simple plants, some with colorful flowers, are placed around the classroom. The seating arrangements include circular tables, with four-to-five students at each table, for work in groups.…

Since starting high school, my interest in classroom learning had dropped quite significantly. I felt like grades were just a game, and that I should be out in the world learning things I deemed "practical life skills." My senior year I was able to mentor in a classroom of fourth graders for one period, ever other day. I took the class thinking it would be an easy and fun way to spend an hour an a half.…

Kids were separated into different classrooms according to their activities and grades. The intercom announced that no one was leaving the building until someone confessed. Phones were confiscated, and they threatened to take away their chance of ever getting back in the following year. They knew the fear of an angry parent would make the paranoid kids squeal and point out the rotten apple. Each teacher was assigned a room with a list of questions they were to repeat until someone was willing to admit to the crimes done, upon this upstanding institution.…

In the seventh grade, I faced a large transition in life. The previous year I had experienced middle school for the first time, but I would make that entrance again. I moved from Texas to North Dakota, where seventh grade was the first year of middle school. I took on those same fears and hopes that I had faced before, but in an unfamiliar place where I had no one except for family to give me support. I tried a lot of new things that year, mainly wrestling.…

I was afraid to sharpen a pencil in second grade. My most vivid elementary school memories spring from instances when I was being reprimanded by an adult for doing something wrong. I did everything in my power to avoid those dreadful moments, but they still presented themselves on occasion. Even now I feel a pit in my stomach when I recall the way I felt during those times, regardless of the fact that almost all of them would easily roll off my back if they occurred today.…

It was there. Its presence marked my final destination. My fear suddenly started to creep over me just thinking about it like a ghost that every child was afraid of, when they turned off the lights. I began to ask my friends if it was true, and they said “Yes” and that it was due tomorrow! All of a sudden a chill ran down through me and my hands started to sweat of nervousness as I started to write down the homework.…

I completed my ten-hour class observation at the private school Georgia Military Prep. The Georgia Military Prep School is located on Georgia Military College’s main campus in Milledgeville. At GMC prep I observed Ms. Jennifer Spencer's advanced eighth grade math class. Ms. Spencer has a decidedly pleasant air about her, a quick smile, and a brisk step that belies her ‘let us get the job done’ type attitude. On my first day observing her class, I soon gathered that Ms. Spencer always has a goal in mind when she sets foot in the classroom.…

I really enjoyed the time I spent in Mrs. Flinn’s fourth grade classroom over Spring Break. I was able to observe for a total of four hours between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning. During my time with the fourth graders, I took a closer look at the solid behavior classroom supports being used. Along with these supports, I was extremely impressed by the way Mrs. Flinn handled classroom management. Even though I observed during a very exciting week, she had great control over her students.…
