Until it was time for volcanic eruptions I was so excited. Volcanic Eruptions was my favorite class. This class is where you get to make goo and to see how long it takes for mold to grow on wheat bread. It was so fun when we got to make goo. I wish I was in that class everyday. I love the teacher I had I have never met her before but I hope I will have the time to stop by her classroom and say hi.

What we did in there was we had to unlock the locks that was tied around the box’s and the code was in the box’s. The codes went to a big box full of candy and when a group finishes first they get to try to unlock the big box and get a big handful of candy but if you are in second place or third place you only get one piece of candy. The whole reason I picked this class was because I thought I could learn a couple of things about teamwork. This class was really fun, I hope I will have that class again next year for

It was 5:15 in the morning, and my mother had just finished giving birth to a healthy, 7 pound, baby girl—me. After I was born, my mother had to fend me off from dozens of nurses, who all wanted to hold me and take a look at me. My mother said that I was the chubbiest and cutest baby she had ever seen. My father and mother both cried tears of joy right after I was born. Apparently, I was the only girl to have been born in that hospital that whole night/morning.…

I moved from San Diego, California to Derby, Kansas in the summer of 2017. I joined Derby Middle School, I hadn’t been to a real middle school before, even though I was in seventh grade. I was in online schooling with K-12 at home. I was new to multiple classes and teachers, assignments on paper, and I was new to a lot of people around me. When I joined Derby Middle School, I thought of it like nothing, thinking that no effort would get me through the year, I thought that my grades didn’t matter as long as I get C or higher.…

My expectations in the past for math class, was for me to do my absolute best that I can. In 5th grade, I was really good at math and I didn’t take the consideration of preparing for 6th grade at Scott M. Brame Middle School. When middle school had started, I expected for myself to do great because I believed I would. Though, there were times that I did struggle due to myself expecting for it to be easy.…

I went outside to find the neighborhood kids playing on the streets. Most of these kids went to my school, Highville Ridge Middle School. Many of the kids had their siblings with them because most moms usually make the oldest take the little ones with them so they can all get out of the house. Anyways I didn’t have to worry about that because today my brother and sister were at their dad’s house. The sky was a dark shade of grey today and it looked like it was going to rain soon.…

As I walked through the front doors of Allentown Central Catholic High School, I felt a sudden rush of panic. Everything I had once seen and had once been familiar with in middle school quickly vanished into thin air. I was terrified, not because I thought I was going to get lost, but because I knew that every little quiz I took, every little paper I wrote, and every exam I labored over would now count toward my ultimate goal of getting into a prestigious university. I wasn’t scared of new faces, but rather new beginnings and experiences.…

A new journey in my life began on August 13th, 2014 as my school principal cut the red ribbon celebrating the opening of a brand new high school. Little did I know, it would become a journey of growth and unique experiences unlike any before it, further refining and adding to my inner sculpture of identity and talent. I was going to Liberty High School, therefore it was necessary that I adapt--quickly, yet strategically. Throughout my life, I had never imagined that my high school experience would reach and exceed my expectations in the way that it did. I had the unique opportunity most people don’t get in life: to be part of a grassroots movement in establishing a culture that would enrich future students with tradition and values for many years to come.…

Eastview Elementary, which is in Mansfield, Ohio, is where I started my Kindergarten year and finished up to the 3rd grade. However my 2nd grade year was the most frustrating time for me. I was seen as the quiet kid with not a lot of friends, so many would see me as a perfect target to mess with during class. Ms. Smith our teacher was the best part of my school days. She was an average height blonde lady with a peal smile and as nice as my grandma.…

Prior to middle school, I thought I was satisfied with my position. I had friends, got along with my teachers, excelled in sports, and got decent grades in my classes. Back then, I thought this well-roundedness I sought between these necessities would offer me self-satisfaction. Little did I know, however, that I was going to confront this well-rounded nature of mine during my first awards ceremony in middle school. Among the most intelligent, artistic or athletic of the students present there, I was the one of the few who simply struggled to stand out.…

For the first five years of elementary school, I attended the small school located at the back of our church’s property. Enrollment ranged from about 10-15 students in 1st through 8th grade. The last three years of my grade school experience were spent attending Lodi Seventh-day Adventist Elementary. This school went from kindergarten to 8th grade and fed into Lodi Academy, so in all, kindergarten through 12th grade! I came from a small, two-room school, and seeing as I was not very accustomed to being with such a large body of students, suddenly becoming immersed in a class with more students than that of my entire old school was definitely intriguing!…
