Every year they get something different from me and I get something different from them. I can't lie I love the surprise of opening the gifts. I also like what's inside the gifts.

Every year we get a real tree, we like the full taller ones. I don't know why just one year we saw one and just have got one ever since. The tree has the best smell ever right as I walk in to my house I smell it. It's like pine, it smells really good.

Hoards of people push past, unaware of my pain, on their own schedules and heading toward different trains, talking and texting on their cell phones. My family boards, time as if in slow-motion, and waves goodbye until I see them again.…

This year, I went to my friend Alex’s home for Thanksgiving alongside my friend Jay. Alex and Jay are frankly some of the greatest friends I can ask for, and going in to thank them I knew they would take it light-heartedly and make a joke out of it. Before we sat down for dinner, the three of us were sitting in her living room ranting and cracking jokes.…

Year Round Around Christmas everything was usually all rowdy in the airport. You saw a big bright tree, you’d hear bells ringing, kids singing, jolly music playing, and you’d even smell sweets. However, this year was different, you heard lockers slamming, footsteps of anxious businessmen, elevator doors closing, and no music. The tree in the lobby was dull with one single gold star, and yellow flickered lights that indicated they weren’t going to last.…

Christmas break in my opinion is probably the second best brake that we have throughout our school year. The main thing I like about Christmas break is how long it is. But even though I like how long we are off school it's almost like we don't have a break because basketball takes over. We get a few days off but the rest of the days are hitting the gym early in the mornings for two to three hours a day. The days I have is the best thing in the world because I get to relax and do something fun for once.…
