Personal Narrative-Brewed Coffee

I want to wake up to a view of the sun peaking above the horizon from the second story window in my house. The exact moment our world goes from dark to illuminate. Thick pillowing clouds now becoming visible with the arrival of the sun, accompanied by an infinitely large sky painted in marvelous shades of orange, red, yellow, and pink. The colors so saturated that the intensity makes my eyes squint. I want to wake up to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. A scent of freshly brewed Colombian dark roast coffee beans progressing through the passages of my nostrils as I pour myself a mug of the stimulating beverage. My nose reaches for another breath, and the resulting odor is less intense. My coffee now cool enough to drink, I take a swig while observing the sunrise unfold. The beverage enters my mouth and the rich and bitter flavors are all absorbed by my taste buds. I swallow, and the drink heats up my esophagus to the edge of burning, without any discomfort. An immediate rush of caffeine is sent to my brain, further brightening the radiating color display from the sun. The rising sun, now one quarter of it’s spherical shape exposed, is momentarily eclipsed by a ship off coast. I approach the edge of the dock, continuously sipping my steaming beverage and gazing all directions across the horizon. Seagulls inhabited the morning sky, chirping and wailing endlessly amongst each other in repetitive harmony. Nearing the edge of the dock, I can now hear the ocean water splashing on the coastline. I can feel the cool mists of water colliding with the exposed areas of my skin. I remove the slippers from the bottoms of my feet, and place them away from me.
