That particular Bob Evans does not have a good reputation with me but since my dear grandchildren wanted to eat there I simply replied, “Why not.”. When we got inside a very cheery room greeted us. Even though I do not remember many things from my childhood, I remember the moment when I met Melvin Miller very clearly. I was only five, and when I walked up to him for the first time I had no clue he would change my life forever. My first moment with Melvin was watching him lay tile. I watched as he very eloquently placed each piece of porcelain and grout on the floor in a way that I had never seen before. I was immediately captivated.…

I don’t think that I was very motivated about figuring out what I wanted to do so I push that in the back of my head. Two figures sat in a dark gray van: in the driver's seat was a tall dark haired man and in the passenger seat a small, thin girl. The girl's head was covered with a fuzzy knitted had to hide the fact that it was completely void of hair underneath. Her eyes were shining with excitement and anticipation as she sat in her seat fidgeting with a huge toothy smile spread across her face.
