Remembering the past is important to my family even if I didn’t exist when my heritage first began. Since before I could remember, I would always hear stories of my great-grandparents. I wondered where I came from and how my family came to be. My curiosity of what traits were passed on throughout generation; this was always an interest of mine. I wondered who I got my darker skin tone and my big eyes from. Little did I know, I come from a big, diverse family.
