Personal Narrative: Black Veil Brides

Marli and I saw a Black Veil Brides concert in California and ended up meeting four members of the band. Though we got barely any sleep, the two of us were rather frantic throughout the trip there. When Marli, Joe, myself, and all of our luggage was in the car, it was still dark out. Though we were going to a Black Veil Brides concert, My Chemical Romance filled the car along with our slightly off key singing. That’s right; we listened to MCR to get excited for a BVB concert. Catching some extra sleep in the car was near impossible, what with being surrounded by crackling excitement as well as fairly loud music. …show more content…

Ever since that day, I feel this tug of excitement when I’m at an airport even if I’m not going anywhere remotely thrilling. The seats were uncomfortable and the drinks were mostly ice, but I could barely pay attention to that. My mind was elsewhere. Joe pulled out his tablet. He opened his documents to reveal several lengthy and indepth analyses of BVB song lyrics. First of all, why would you take the time? Second, the lyrics of most songs by Black Veil Brides are definitely not meant to be thought about too much. Joe made a new document - a list of the songs we wanted to hear. I was fairly new to the band at the time and didn’t know some of the songs that Marli added, but of course tiny, emo, very-uncool me pretended like I

Today’s goal was to introduce me to the site, the people that work in my department, the resources available to workers, and current projects. My volunteer supervisor, Geraldine Baptist, showed me around the hospital, specifically where I would normally sign in and sign out, the cafeteria, and the Occupational/Physical therapy outpatient department. Upon arrival at the OT/PT department, Ms. Baptist introduced me to the front desk secretary, Mauracell, a sweet, openhearted young lady. Mauracell warm welcoming made me extremely comfortable, and all anxiety was put to ease. Mauracell showed me around the office and work center, then introduced me to each person present and gave me a description of what types of things they work on.…

People show judgement when they don’t agree with one's passion. “I would not be alone with him for the world. I wonder he is not afraid to be alone with himself.” This is a moment in life when someone is judging something before they even know what is happening, like they don’t know how to take it so they are just going to assume it is wrong. In the afternoon at the funeral of the young lady when Mr. Hooper appeared still covered in the black veil, it was now an appropriate emblem.”…

I don’t hide behind a veil anymore. All my life I’ve been incredibly passive, never getting into much conflict and hiding how I actually am. I was relatively silent even with my friends until the end of my Freshman year of high school. Yes, I’d occasionally start a conversation or two with my classmates, but only if I had observed that they were friendly. Otherwise, it was as if my mouth had a jammed zipper on it, and it would only open after much effort.…

The Black Veil Heros “Every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you’ll never get back.” This was once said by Andy Biersack, lead singer of Black Veil Brides. Many people have their own favourite, a place, a movie, or even a colour. They like those things for many different reasons, its’ sentimental value or a simple drawing or attractions to it.
