Personal Narrative: Biscuit Boy

Improved Essays
Down in my little town of Woodstock, there was a restaurant called Biscuit Boy. One Saturday morning, after a good day of hunting, I went to Biscuit Boy to celebrate killing my first deer of the year, it was a big buck! I was there and happened to come across a beautiful lady. So I asked her for her name, her name was Lisa. Lisa and I began to talk as we both ate our breakfast. So I asked her “ May I have your number and maybe we can go out or something sometime?” She answered, “ of course.” We then continued talking. After we finished eating, I walked her out to her car to say goodbye. Later that day, I couldn’t stop thinking about her so I gave her a call and she answered on the first ring. Lisa said, “what’s up?” I said, “nothing …show more content…
I walked up to the door to meet her parents. They would not let me walk in, I wondered why. We left and began our drive. After about 25 minutes of driving, I told her I had a special spot to take her. We finally made it to my spot and I came around to open her car door to let her out. I walked her to the back of my truck and opened the tailgate and we sat there and gazed at the stars and the moon. It felt like the moon was talking to me. It was the most beautiful night, no clouds in sight, just me and her all alone. We were talking and I got this rush in my heart. All of a sudden, I said “ Lisa will you be my girlfriend?” I was scared for a minute. Lisa hesitated and said “ I’d love to!” I was happy as a lark!
3 years later I picked Lisa up for another one of our special drives and took her to our special spot. We parked and I came to open her door for her to get out of the truck. I walked her to the back of my truck and put the tailgate down. We were talking and suddenly I got the same rush in my heart as I did when I asked her to be my girlfriend. All of the sudden, I stepped down onto the ground and I got on one knee and I asked her to marry me. She was speechless. She didn’t know what to think. She finally answered with “ I would love to be your wife!’’.

This can have both a positive and negative effect on a relationship. This scenario played out in my own marriage.…
