Personal Narrative: Big Five Personality Assessment

Decent Essays
I also took the Big Five personality assessment and found it to be pretty accurate, and buzz feed quizzes are my favorite! I swear I always take them when they pop up on my social media accounts and I feel like they are pretty accurate when it comes to describing my personality, most of the time that is. I think my favorite one was one "build a pizza and we will tell you about your personality", it was the strangest thing but still fun.

One Perception Check Later A light rain comes to a stop as I walk up the slick driveway of my friend Aaron’s house. I push on the white, waterlogged, wooden fence gate to the backyard and stand just thirty feet from the open garage door. The backyard consists of two halves: the concrete path with a hutch housing rabbits and a grass yard with a brown, stone fire pit. A constant air of music plays from the wind chimes that hang from a vine-covered terrace separating the two areas.…

Looking at Levels of Functioning: From analyzing my family, there is no known occurrence of police involvement or repeated offender behavior that keeps a family member in the prison system. Mental-Illness: As for mental illness, I do suffer from anxiety and depression. I’m currently taking a 50-milligram prescription of Zoloft to manage these symptoms. The onset of my conditions occurred in 2013, when I suffered a major panic attack that deeply affected me. From a psychosocial perspective, I was graduating with my undergraduate degree, my dog was terminally ill, and I was about to leave for a two-month trip to Europe.…

‘’What’s on your mind?’’ , Facebook asked. Are you thinking about what you should do, about your school works, what you will wear, what you’re going to eat, or perhaps you’re thinking about what you’ll post on your facebook . But, have you ever wondered how much a cloud weighs? Clouds float so freely, that‘s why I assumed they’re weightless, but it turns out they’re not.…

In small-town Mississippi, I was always taught that being Conservative was the only way to be and that thinking any other way would go completely against my religion. That being said for the majority of my life I believed I was a Republican until I turned 16 and realized that I agree with very little of what Conservatives do. I now consider myself to be an Independent who leans liberal and the thought of changing my views is pretty unfathomable at this point. However, if I really had to contemplate doing that I would have to consider my few objections to the typical view of Liberals, and that would mostly have to deal with my thoughts on abortion.…

When I was younger I done so many things that I totally regret. I’ve done some illegal things that I expected to never do. It was my eighth grade year during winter when I was at my friends house. We both were just chilling then out of nowhere, he took out a bag with a pill bottle inside it. Now I know I am not supposed to speak about this since it’s illegal, but this was a one time thing.…

The guidelines for this assignment were to select and tell the story of an argument that has shaped me into the person that I am today. I chose to share my struggle of being different in my family of extremely involved parents and athletic brothers. After a major argument and decision made with my parents, it was through lacrosse, which I never excelled at or cared much about, that brought me to realize that I am a natural leader. To write this narrative, I put much of my recent practice writing scenes to use to help a reader submerse into the story and make them feel as if they were actually present in that moment. I also kept a great focus on my narrative arc.…

There is an instinctive decision that everyone has inside them; this is called fight or flight. I overcame this instinct when I was in the seventh grade. As a freshman, the statement that high school contained the best years of my life held no merit to me. I recall my freshman reputation presenting itself as one commonly found among the introverted crowd; unpopular, lonely, and scared of stepping a toe out of line. I felt trapped by dullness and repetition I’d brought upon myself. This instance rings itself as one of my most noticeable moments of high school purely for my stunted assimilation into high school culture; I avoided clubs, after-school plans, and any social events like the plague. I marked my days as only for academics, completely ignoring all the other opportunities high school laid within my reach.…

In middle school, my grades were okay, but nothing to be really amazed with. I could have done better, I know I could have, but I was too lost in my head. In class I would daydream, at home I would scribble away in notebooks.…
