As a child, have you ever wondered what it would be like to come of age? A large amount of children dream for the day of independence. In fact, some youth actually long for the day they can arise and behave exactly as they please. The mere thought of getting up whenever you want without anyone forcing you to conduct yourself in a certain manner sounds absolutely amazing. Like many kids, I personally wanted to grow up so fast that I did not embrace the era I spent as a minor. Even I failed to realize how carefree adolescence can be. Being an adult definitely has more freedom, but being a child is certainly easier.
Events experienced by children tend to transpire with such magic. The memory style used by a child is that of total recall. Children seem to remember incidents with such unnerving detail. The choices as a child develop into obligations that adults must remain accountable for. I can decide whether or not to sleep in, but I decline because I now have debts, including mortgage. If the rent remains unpaid for the month, then I risk the consequence of homelessness and foreclosure of my property. Therefore, I have to juggle a job as well. Joining the real world, required me to become entirely self-sufficient. Before society would actually take me seriously, I needed to exhibit a great deal of responsibility and independence. As a matter of fact, being independent meant exhibiting responsible behavior. I do not think that there is a greater feeling on the face of this earth than knowing that I am capable of providing for myself without the micromanagement of an authority figure. Now that I am completely mature, I have more than just myself to sustain. I also have an entire family to care
