When I was seven years old my mom bought by first horseback riding lesson at the school auction, I have been riding ever since. Once I was old enough to begin working on the farm I started taking care of the horses brushing, feeding, taking care of wounds and helping the younger riders learn how to care for their horses. My occupational goals that could pertain to agriculture with becoming a nurse practitioner and equine assisted therapist is to be able to work in an agriculturally based community. Growing up in Greensburg has shown me that a rural work is worth more because you get to know the people you are working with. Nursing does not pertain to agriculture as much as I wish, but being able to work in a community where all are kind is a goal of mine. Working with the agriculture workers would only strengthen me as a nurse practitioner and as a person alone. Working in the equine assisted therapy program will not only help me reconnect with the agricultural side, but equine assisted therapy will help me combine my love of horses and my love of helping…

I would watch one episode after another. To me they were like eating popcorn; you simply cannot stop once you’ve started!
